Christmas Party

Focus Youth ministry will have our Christmas Party on Saturday, December 9 at 5:30 pm. Meet at the church for a scavenger hunt followed by food and a white elephant gift exchange. $5 min and $10 max on gifts. DO NOT bring gag gifts. More details will follow shortly. Game night at the Cronks

FOCUS on Games! We are going to have a monster Game Night at the Cronks' house on Saturday. Come over anytime between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. I'll supply the pizza, you bring the drinks and snacks. FBC Youth are on their way to YEC 2006 in Alexandria, LA. We'll be listening to speaker Tony Nolan, and worshiping with Spur 58. Building 429 will be in concert. We will return Tuesday evening in time for our church-wide Thanksgiving Dinner at the Belle Chasse Auditorium at 6:30 pm. Keep checking the FOCUS blog for information on how God is working in our students' lives.

Friday Night Lanes (bowling, that is...)

(not so) random thoughts from randy

a thought... at church i've been talking to my students about focus - what, who, where our focus is. we've come to the realization that God should be our focus. if we're focused on Him, we'll have less time to focus on selfish stuff.

so my thought is this: if we're supposed to be focused on God, do our lives reflect that focus? do our lives point people to God or do our lives confuse the issue?

for those of you reading this, you must have a myspace account, so the thought for you is this: is there anything on my myspace profile (whether I put it there or allowed it to be put there) that takes away from my focus on God? when somebody views your myspace profile, blogs, comments, bulletins, pics, videos, surveys, banners, etc., what focus do they see? do they see curse words, inappropriate pics/ video content? or do they see God through you?
